Do you know Janet Jerene Stock?
How about Janet Jerene White?

I am looking for her. She is my birthmother. Her last name used to be Stock, but has not been since 1990. I can't locate her - I've done all my looking on the internet so far, and don't have the means to hire someone to track her down. That's where you come in!

Here's what I know:
Her name, when I was born (on July 30, 1977) was Janet Jerene Stock. I have a copy of my original birth certificate. She would have been in her early thirties then. She lived (and worked?) in Coquille, Oregon. I was born at Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay.
She married James (Jim) Merwin White in 1990 in Reno.
They lived in the Roseburg and Winston area until he died in 2004. He has two children, a daughter that lives in Arizona, and a son, Michael Poole.
The trail goes dead after 2004, until 2008, when a woman named Fran Michl dies, and her obituary lists both White and Poole as her extended and "special" family.
Both the obituaries (for White and Michl) list Winston community center as a place to make donations. It must be safe to assume all of the parties are active in their community.

If this is true, then maybe someone who reads this ad will know ANY of the people I've listed, and help me to get in touch with someone that gets me in touch with my birth-mother. I turned 31 this year, and I have three small children of my own - I want to see her, and to know the rest of my own story.

Recently I spanked my 6 year old after he ran out in the road. DHS stepped in and said spanking is a no no. They did not take my child away, but are making me do counseling or there is a threat to take my child away. During my counseling I have asked my counselor to provide me with studies that show long term results of spanking of regualr people who were spanked with none of them being actual abuse cases. So far she has not shown me any of that instead she shows me stuff that says Studies show... And then it leads on to what I think is a bunch of garbage stuff like spanking lowers your IQ and such. She has not shown me actual studies that were done.

The Bowen Family System Workshop: Generations is based upon genograms developed by the participants which extend at least 3 generations on both sides of the families. These genograms look at the differentiation concept Bowen uses in describing the personal development which personifies the current generation, rather than focusing on gaps or critical aspects often misunderstood today.

The workshop will include some discussions on Genogram Software that will produce nice family trees and genogram documentation like the image below.

The workshop is free all we ask is that you make a $25 donation to a charity of your choice or the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association.
