ANTIQUE FARRIER AND BLACKSMITH TOOLS FLAT GRIP. 26"LONG. These very old blacksmith tongs were handmade and built for a purpose. These scarce, handmade tools were everyday tools back in the late 1800s. They heated the metal and fitted the hot shoes to the horses. This type of work required a strong back and a lot of expertise, usually acquired through on-site training.
