It all hand crafted made of 3/4 Plywood and a solid 4 inch round wood with plush carpet on. Round is not glue sew where the seam is at. glue down the top and bottom carpet. Where you can replace it down the road if like. I do not have pets no cats or dog using it only for my binder work. It very sturdy as well. Could use a few pet toys to attached to the bottom. Can also fine them listed on E-bay yet not like this with a top. 24 is the height rectangle 24 Height 16 x 17 base by 3/4
