The house is a large sunny two-story home with a lake view, large front yard, deck, and back patio. Just one mile from the beach (15 minute walk)!
The room for rent comes furnished with a queen size bed and chair. The space measures 11' x 13'. Recently remodeled (new flooring, paint, light fixture, curtains). Large open closet, north facing window, quiet, private, and secure (locking door w/key). Shares hallway with the full bathroom (2-sinks, shower/bathtub).
Rent is Month-to-month, 30-days notice required. $400.00 security deposit, returned after finally inspection, if home is left clean and damage free.
Rent is due 1st of the month. Utilities are included (water, electricity, gas, wifi, and garbage).
Shared Living Spaces:
- We share the kitchen. Kitchen has new appliances including large fridge, gas stove, and dishwasher. Everyone manages their own food, and there's ample storage to keep things separate.
- We share the upstairs living area, two large sitting rooms, one with a great lake view, the other with the TV for lounging after work.
- The main bathroom is shared.
- We share the washer and dryer for laundry, everyone has their own detergent.
- We share the driveway.
Overflow parking area is available for guests.
- Fire pit in front yard.
Other House Details:
- Wifi from Spectrum is strong (113mbps) and can handle multiple users streaming individually.
- TV has local cable, Roku, Netflix and Prime.
- SORRY, NO PETS
- Prefer a non-smoker: No smoking inside or out.
- Prefer a non drinker. Safe social drinking only
- Must have your own linens and towels (we don't share those)
FAQs / Good-to-knows:
- Living area is on 2nd floor, so ability to use the stairs is necessary.
- For one person only (no couples)
- Overnight guests are limited and need to be worked out in advance.We give each other a courtesy heads up regarding expected guest.
Considerations
- Best if you have a job outside of the home as babysitting (I do in-home daycare during the day) utilizes the kitchen and living space during working hours.
- Best if you are familiar with roommate living. We share chores, and work to get along via mutual respect and kindness.
- Politics are a hot topic right now. Best if you are also lgbtq+ friendly.
