My husband is a crab commercial fisherman out of the Brookings Harbor. This year so far has been a tough one for many. I’m currently providing for all with unemployment and charitable donations of friends and acquaintances. It’s hard to imagine anyone could survive on unemployment for a family, plus endless discriminatory practices in the workforce that left my husband in a bad plight leading up to our reunion in 2017 in Ventura, where we both first met in 1990s. California has become notorious for crippling people, leading them straight to the street and destroying dreams.
I’m hoping our family can find a place to land the trailer, closer to my husband’s work, a place of peace and hope. I know that’s a bit ridiculous given so many people struggle and rents are as high as they can be before breaking an entire society.
But I throw this post out here, with a prayer, maybe this one will work. I’ve already called around to other trailer parks and most have a weight and number limit on the dogs. And here, where we are now, we can only be for six months, our time to go is in mid- March. And I’m not willing to give up my family because someone else’s irrelevant fears are applied to my family.
So what did I have in mind? Around $500 in rent is doable. Can also do work on a property. I know it’s possible because we did it before we left Ventura County for 8 months on a ranch.
